Overcoming Struggles

Though fiery trials I'll brave,
demons chase me.
They're no match for all my armor is in place,
sword of spirit sharpened just in case.
Will I be burdened by a world full of sin?
A true Child of God marches on.
Careful prayer orders my steps every step of the way.
People may throw me in jail, much to my dismay.
But...Angels will minister to me and I'll know what to say
to keep away from the sword and harm's way.
The Last word will be God's on this glorious day.
A true Child of God marches on.
Well, persecuted for my beliefs, hated for my acts.
Which do ye stone me for?
I'll not change the word I stand on, or compromise it's principles.
I'll not relax 'till I reach glory.
A true Child of God marches on.
