I knew I must dig down, to get past the sifting sand
A solid foundation I must have, for the building at hand
So I started removing the top soil, and the things I did see
Things I never imagined, that were staring back at me,
Things that were hid and buried many years in the past
Some smaller items of trash, that frankly left me aghast
I was amazed and bewildered and wondered how or

I’m not where I was this time last year,
I am where I am right now.
Let me find in the moment God’s direction and will,
as before Him I humbly bow.
The past is past and can be no more,
let me learn from it nonetheless.
Not memories and scars of pain and sorrow,
but the ways He chose to bless.
May I take each day as manna received,
and as water that from the rock springs.
And work in

Prayer
Posted Friday, November 13, 2009
I wrote this poem after spending many agonizing days praying and counseling with a person that had hit bottom after walking away from God, and getting hooked on drugs and alcohol.
Three days after praying this prayer with me, she was saved and delivered of her habits and set free, I Baptized her in a stock pond in far west Texas one Sunday evening and she was filled with the Holy Spirit all

On your altar I lay
Broken chards of clay
In your hands they lay.
Restoration—no delay.
Lord, please hear my prayer
And remind me you are there.
I have many problems you see,
They are too much for me!
My life is broken chards of clay;
Jagged, broken, and shattered they lay.
Please take these pieces up
And make a brand new cup
So I can sing your praise
Of how you to

Father, I don’t want to
Leave this view.
My soul would rather sit and
Talk with you.
( I wish I did not have
so many things to do.)
I need the peace
Of these mountain trees,
and my brain needs the wisp
of this crisp, winter breeze!
My life seems so busy,
So hectic,
and me so small.
I am often overwhelmed by
The size of it all! ?
In the midst of much chang

God, I need to know you more
in this desperate hour.
My life is changing and
I need a strong tower.
I have unpaid bills
And truck repairs, too.
There an awful lot of things
In my life still to do.
I feel helpless and powerless
To fulfill it all, I say.
I need someone in life to forever stay.
I want to get married
And share this great load.
But, to find someone qu

Holy Spirit
Posted Tuesday, June 16, 2009
I have come to far to turn back now, and I have reached the point of no return,
For to be nearer my God to thee is all that I do yearn.
And to fellowship and walk with Him while in The Spirit is my only concern
The fiery darts of hell I can see, they seem to be on every hand,
The shed Blood of The Blessed Lamb has enabled me to take a firm stand
And because of that Blood and Your Holy Spir

Exhortation

I fell into a very deep sleep and in the still of the night I can hear the voice of my beloved call to me ,
The sweetest voice speaks softly in my ear and I can feel the presence of the gentle Holy Spirit
His essence completely fills this place and I can feel the breath of the Holy one as he whispers to me
The love that I can feel is almost more than this man can bear. My Master reached out a

God's Love

I stood in a meadow and looked all about me
Something was missing for I felt no glee
I saw people everywhere like a forest full of trees
What struck me most, was they bore no leaves
I felt sorrow and grief and heard much weeping
As though under much pressure they were writhing
I cried out, why are you not bearing any fruit ?
Because of mistakes made in our pas

There is a something brewing
From the North a brewing
On Eagles Wings
There is a something a brewing
Cauldron of ‘delights’
To tantalize
To deceive
Exclamations of wonder!
From heaven it seems
Something is a brewing
Oh deceiving spirit
You are not welcome
You spell death upon their graves
You are concocting a lotion of ‘delight’
The coffin you bring
Shaped as ‘life’
