The title of this book is taken from the Bible story found in the Gospel of John 4:28-29, about the woman who met Jesus at the well: “Then leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people, ‘Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Christ?’”
Come, See a Man is the story about a woman named Mercy and her search for love. All human beings are born with an innate desire to be loved and accepted. Unfortunately, like Mercy so many women and men search for love in all the wrong places, and find themselves in relationships and marriages that are abusive and destructive. Perhaps some of the readers of this book will see themselves in Mercy’s story and come to the awareness of the need to have Christ in their life to show them the way to true love.

About the Author
Rev. Lillian Gold is the Pastor Emeritus of the Powerhouse Church of Jesus Christ in New York City. She holds a Master of Divinity degree as well as a Master of Social Work degree. While serving as the Pastor of the Powerhouse, she also worked as a psychotherapist; worked with women victims of domestic violence; developed and directed human service programs; and was a college primary instructor.
