Father, I don’t want to
Leave this view.
My soul would rather sit and
Talk with you.
( I wish I did not have
so many things to do.)
I need the peace
Of these mountain trees,
and my brain needs the wisp
of this crisp, winter breeze!
My life seems so busy,
So hectic,
and me so small.
I am often overwhelmed by
The size of it all! ?
In the midst of much change
And of decisions galore,
Keep my soul still
As I attend every chore!
With your spirit in me,
I can conquer it all,
Even if my frame
Stands only so tall! ?
Go with me now,
Lead me in your perfect peace.
Grant my soul rest and a gentle release!
