On your altar I lay
Broken chards of clay
In your hands they lay.
Restoration—no delay.

Lord, please hear my prayer
And remind me you are there.
I have many problems you see,
They are too much for me!

My life is broken chards of clay;
Jagged, broken, and shattered they lay.

Please take these pieces up
And make a brand new cup
So I can sing your praise
Of how you took my mess
And chose me to bless!

I wonder what I will be
When you are finished molding me;
A vase, a bowl, or a coffee cup?
You will tell me when my time is up!

I will sing your praise
Of your help from my maze!
